I began my falling career in 1979 in a small logging camp north of Campbell River, I was trained by a very strict faller, who vigorously followed WorkSafe BC regulations. The standards my training was based on are the same standards employed today in the logging industry. As a contractor, I have 28+ years experience falling, with no serious injuries to date. Certified by Worksafe BC in 2003, I have been a QST since then, enabling me to train and certify 600+ fallers over the past five years. In 2004 I returned to school to become a certified new faller trainer and chainsaw trainer. I have supervised and audited crews in the seismic oil and gas industry, mining and forestry sector.
